Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. soft butter
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 can fruit cocktail (do not drain)
  • 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate bits
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Grease and flour bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan.
  3. Combine all ingredients, except morsels and nuts.
  4. Blend well at lowest speed of mixer.
  5. Beat 2 minutes and pour into pan. Sprinkle with morsels and nuts.
  6. Bake 35 to 40 minutes.
