Sweet and crunchy popcorn balls ideal for parties and snacks, combining melted marshmallows and butter with fluffy popcorn for a nostalgic treat suitable for all ages.

Ingredients

  • 1 cube butter or margarine
  • 1 large (16 oz.) package miniature marshmallows
  • 4 quarts popped popcorn, discard unpopped kernels

Instructions

  1. Melt butter over medium heat in a heavy 2-quart size pan.
  2. Slowly add marshmallows; stir constantly until marshmallows are thoroughly melted.
  3. Optional: Add food coloring at this point for tinted popcorn.
  4. Pour the melted marshmallow mixture over the popped corn, coating entire batch.
  5. Form the coated popcorn into balls.
