Ingredients

  • 8 cups cucumbers, sliced
  • 2 medium onions, sliced thin
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 1.5 cups sugar
  • 0.5 cups white vinegar

Instructions

  1. Place cucumbers and onions in a bowl.
  2. Sprinkle with salt.
  3. Set aside for 2 hours; stir occasionally.
  4. Cook sugar and vinegar together until they form a syrup.
  5. Let the syrup cook for a few minutes and then cool.
  6. Press salt water out of the cucumbers.
  7. Pour the cooled syrup over the cucumbers and onions.
  8. Transfer to containers and freeze.
  9. Can also be enjoyed before freezing.
