Ingredients

  • 2 cucumbers
  • 1 tsp mustard seed
  • 1 tsp celery seed
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup sugar

Instructions

  1. Cut cucumbers into spears.
  2. Place them in a quart jar.
  3. Add mustard seed, celery seed, and sliced onion to the jar.
  4. Bring water to a boil in a small pan.
  5. Add sugar and vinegar to the boiling water.
  6. Pour the hot mixture into the jar over the cucumbers and spices.
  7. Let stand for 4 to 6 hours before refrigerating.
  8. Cover the jar and refrigerate.
  9. Serve cold.
