Quick Supper Rice

A quick, flavorful rice dish featuring ham, cheese, and paprika, perfect for a satisfying weeknight dinner that's easy to prepare and loved by all.

Ingredients

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. paprika pepper
  • 1/2 cup diced cooked ham
  • 1/2 cup diced lunch meat
  • 2 cups cooked long-grain rice
  • 1 cup diced cheese

Instructions

  1. Peel and finely chop the onion.
  2. Heat oil in a frying pan and sauté onion for 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in salt, paprika, and pepper, then add the diced ham and lunch meat.
  4. Fry for 1 minute.
  5. Add cooked rice and mix thoroughly.
  6. Continue to cook for 4 to 5 minutes to reheat the rice.
  7. Add a spoonful of water if the mixture is too dry.
  8. Stir in cheese and cook another 1 to 2 minutes until cheese begins to melt.
  9. Sprinkle with chopped chives and serve hot with green beans.
