Ingredients
Instructions
- Roll the bread dough into a 15 x 9-inch rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
- Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and raisins to prepare the filling.
- Spread softened margarine evenly over the dough.
- Sprinkle the filling mixture evenly across the margarine-covered dough.
- Roll up the dough tightly starting from the 15-inch side.
- Pinch the edge of the dough to seal the roll well and stretch it to make it even.
- Shape the sealed roll into a ring on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
- Pinch the ends of the roll together to form a complete ring.
- Using scissors, cut 2/3 of the way through the ring at 1-inch intervals.
- Turn each section of the cut ring on its side.
- Let the dough rise until doubled in size, about 40 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake the ring until golden brown, about 25 to 30 minutes.
- If the ring browns too quickly, cover loosely with aluminum foil during baking.
- Spread the warm ring with the glaze while still hot.
