A quick and flavorful taco potato dish combining tender potatoes, seasoned ground beef, salsa, and melted cheese, perfect for a satisfying weeknight meal for the family.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans sliced potatoes, cooked until tender
  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 (12 oz.) jar salsa
  • 1 envelope taco mix
  • Wisconsin fancy shredded cheese
  • 3/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef in a skillet.
  2. Drain off grease.
  3. Add water and taco mix; stir.
  4. Add salsa to the meat mixture and simmer a few minutes.
  5. Place cooked sliced potatoes in a baking dish.
  6. Pour the meat mixture over the potatoes and stir together.
  7. Top with shredded cheese and microwave or bake until cheese melts.
  8. Serve hot, optionally with a green salad.
