Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hamburger meat
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 pkg. chili seasoning
  • 1 small can tomato sauce
  • 1 can water
  • 1 cup macaroni
  • American cheese

Instructions

  1. Brown the hamburger meat; drain excess fat.
  2. Add chopped onion to the meat and cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in chili seasoning, tomato sauce, and water; simmer.
  4. Cook macaroni in salted water until al dente; drain.
  5. Pour cooked macaroni into the bottom of a greased baking dish.
  6. Stir in the meat sauce with the macaroni.
  7. Cover the mixture with slices of American cheese.
  8. Bake at 375°F until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
