A tropical-inspired pineapple delight cake featuring layers of pineapple, apricots or peaches, and a buttery cake topping, perfect for celebrations or casual gatherings with a sweet tooth.

Ingredients

  • 16 oz. can crushed pineapple
  • 16 oz. can apricots or peaches
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 stick oleo (butter)
  • nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a sheet cake pan, dump the can of crushed pineapple with juice and spread evenly.
  2. Add the can of apricots or peaches with juice on top of the pineapple layer.
  3. Sprinkle the yellow cake mix evenly over the fruit mixture.
  4. Pour melted oleo (butter) evenly over the top of the cake mix.
  5. Add nuts on top if desired.
  6. Do not stir!
  7. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour.
  8. Keep refrigerated after it cools.
