Ingredients

  • 18 1/2 oz. butter cake mix
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 egg
  • 10 oz. jar raspberry preserves
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons water
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract

Instructions

  1. Combine cake mix, chopped pecans, butter, and egg; mix until crumbly.
  2. Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
  3. Spread raspberry preserves evenly over the crust.
  4. Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes.
  5. In a small bowl, combine powdered sugar, water, and almond extract; mix until smooth.
  6. Drizzle the almond glaze over the warm shortbread.
  7. Allow to cool, then cut into bars.
