Ingredients

  • 7 oz. jar jalapeno peppers (whole with stems)
  • 1 pkg. cream cheese
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. cornmeal

Instructions

  1. Slit each jalapeno on the side and remove the seeds, leaving the stem in place.
  2. Fill each jalapeno with cream cheese.
  3. Prepare a mixture of flour and cornmeal.
  4. Dredge each stuffed jalapeno in the flour mixture.
  5. Cook as desired (baking or frying) until golden and heated through.
