- Cut out stems from mushrooms and chop them finely; set aside.
- Brown sausage in a skillet and crumble as it cooks; drain well.
- Mix the cooked sausage, chopped mushroom stems, garlic, basil, steak sauce, and bread crumbs together.
- Place a little butter and steak sauce in each mushroom cap.
- Stuff the mushrooms with the sausage mixture.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for about 15 to 20 minutes until golden and heated through.
