Ingredients

  • 1 pack dry red beans
  • 1 medium pack ground meat or deer meat
  • 1 onion, chopped fine
  • 1/2 bell pepper
  • parsley flakes
  • 1 can Ro-Tel
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1 pack chili seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp. minced garlic
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground meat or deer meat in a pan and drain well.
  2. Add chili seasoning and fry until the onions are clear.
  3. Boil the dry red beans until they start to crack open.
  4. Add the tomato sauce, cooked meat mixture, and Ro-Tel tomatoes to the beans.
  5. Stir in parsley flakes and minced garlic.
  6. Add cayenne pepper and salt to taste.
  7. Simmer on low to medium heat until the mixture is thick and creamy.
  8. Smash the beans on the side of the pot when stirring to help make it creamy.
