Red Bean (Pinto) Casserole

Ingredients

  • tortilla chips
  • picante sauce
  • 1 qt. precooked pinto beans
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 c. chopped onions
  • 1 large can chili
  • grated cheese

Instructions

  1. In a 9 x 13-inch pan, layer the bottom with tortilla chips and sprinkle a little picante sauce over each.
  2. Add a layer of precooked pinto beans (1 quart).
  3. Layer cooked and drained ground beef on top.
  4. Add chopped onions over the beef.
  5. Pour chili over the onions and beef.
  6. Sprinkle grated cheese on top.
  7. Bake in the oven for 45 minutes at 325°F.
