  • 2 gal. sliced (in rings or sticks) cucumbers (slice and core for rings)
  • 2 c. lime
  • 8 1/2 gal. water
  • 1 c. vinegar
  • 1 bottle red food coloring
  • 1 Tbsp. alum

Instructions

  1. Add water to a large pot, ensuring it covers the cucumbers (use 4 to 6 quarts).
  2. Drain the cucumbers after they have been soaked.
