Ingredients

  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup butter or oleo, melted
  • 1 3/4 cups confectioners sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 6 ounces chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons oil

Instructions

  1. Combine peanut butter, melted butter, confectioners sugar, vanilla, brown sugar, and salt with 2 tablespoons water in a large bowl, beating until well blended and mixture forms a ball.
  2. Pat the peanut butter mixture into a 7 x 11-inch pan, smoothing the top.
  3. Melt and blend the chocolate chips and oil together in a double boiler until smooth.
  4. Spread the melted chocolate mixture over the peanut butter layer, smoothing the top.
  5. Allow to cool completely, then cut into squares.
