- Bring to boil the cider vinegar, water, sugar, celery seed, and mustard seed.
- Let the mixture get cold.
- Make a brine of 2 cups water and salt.
- Soak cabbage and peppers in the brine for half an hour.
- Drain off the brine, pressing to remove most of it.
- Add the cabbage and peppers to the vinegar mixture with the celery.
- Add salt to taste.
- Stir well and store in refrigerator.
- Use as needed. Keeps well for 3 to 6 months.
