Ingredients

  • 2 cans (20 oz. each) crushed pineapple in unsweetened juice
  • 1 1/2 cups packed light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cinnamon stick, broken in half
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions

  1. In a heavy saucepan, combine the crushed pineapple, brown sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon stick, and nutmeg.
  2. Simmer over medium heat for 40 to 50 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the liquid has thickened.
