Ingredients

  • 8 slices bacon, drained
  • 2 to 3 lb. head cabbage, shredded
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 1/2 lb. cooked noodles

Instructions

  1. Saute shredded cabbage in bacon fat over low heat.
  2. Mix sugar, white vinegar, and water together.
  3. Add the mixture to the cabbage and cover.
  4. Cook over low heat until the cabbage is tender.
  5. Stir in cooked noodles and crumbled bacon.
  6. Serve hot.
