Robert's Cabbage Casserole combines tender cabbage, seasoned ground beef, and rich tomato sauce, baked to perfection—comforting and hearty, ideal for family dinners and cold evenings.

Ingredients

  • 1 head cabbage, chopped
  • 1.5 lb. extra lean ground beef
  • 1 large can tomato sauce
  • 1 large onion

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef and onion until cooked through.
  2. Drain excess fat from the beef and onions.
  3. In a large casserole dish, layer half of the chopped cabbage.
  4. Add half of the cooked ground beef on top of the cabbage.
  5. Pour half of the tomato sauce over the beef layer.
  6. Repeat the layering with the remaining cabbage, beef, and tomato sauce.
  7. Press down gently into the dish to compress the layers.
  8. Cover the casserole dish and bake at 350°F for 1 hour.
