Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups nuts
  • 1 German chocolate cake mix
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and flour and grease a 9 x 13-inch cake pan.
  2. Spread chopped nuts evenly over the bottom of the pan.
  3. Prepare the German chocolate cake mix as directed on the box and pour it over the nuts.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix softened cream cheese with powdered sugar and margarine until smooth.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the top of the cake batter.
  6. Bake for 45 minutes at 350°F until the cake is set and golden.
