Ingredients

  • 1 lb. round steak
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 3/4 c. dry bread crumbs
  • 3 Tbsp. butter, melted
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped onion
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
  • 1 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Wipe steak and sprinkle with flour.
  2. Pound extra flour into steak.
  3. Mix chopped onion, parsley flakes, salt, melted butter, and dry bread crumbs, then spread on the steak, keeping the mixture 1 inch from the edge to prevent squeezing out.
  4. Roll the steak, tie securely, and roast in a slow oven (300° to 350°F) for about 2 1/2 hours.
