Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 bunch celery, chopped
  • 4 medium onions, chopped
  • 2 (15 oz.) cans kidney beans
  • 1 large can tomato juice
  • 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 4 or 5 bay leaves
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a large pot.
  2. Add the chopped celery and onions to the beef.
  3. Add some water and cook until the vegetables are soft.
  4. Add the kidney beans, tomato juice, tomato sauce, bay leaves, ground cloves, salt, and pepper.
  5. Simmer the mixture in the large pot for 4 to 5 hours.
