Ingredients

  • 1 lb. powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • paste or liquid food colorings

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, beat egg whites and cream of tartar with a mixer until frothy.
  2. Gradually add powdered sugar and beat for 5 to 7 minutes until glossy, stiff peaks form when beaters are lifted.
