French Onion Pie

Instructions
- Preheat oven and cookie sheet to 325°F (160°C).
- Reserve 1/2 cup of French fried onions.
- Sprinkle remaining fried onions on the bottom of the pie shell.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese over the onions.
- Combine eggs, milk, salt, and cayenne pepper, then pour over the cheese and onions in the pie shell.
- Bake on the preheated cookie sheet for 45 minutes.
- Sprinkle the reserved fried onions around the edge of the pie.
- Bake for an additional 5 to 10 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let stand before serving.
