Ingredients

  • 1 stick melted butter
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 1/2 c. plain flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 2 sticks margarine

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and Crisco; add eggs one at a time.
  2. Stir in part of flour and buttermilk; mix all together.
  3. Bake at 350° until done in center.
  4. Bake in 3 layers.
