Ingredients

  • 6 egg yolks
  • 2 envelopes gelatin
  • 1 pint whipping cream
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 3/4 cup rum

Instructions

  1. Beat egg yolks in a mixer until light and then add sugar.
  2. Soak gelatin in cold water; then put over low heat and bring to a boil, stirring. Add more water if needed.
  3. Whip cream until stiff peaks form; fold it into the egg mixture and flavor with rum.
  4. Pour the mixture into an oiled mold and chill until set.
  5. Keep refrigerated; the pie will keep for days.
