Ingredients

  • 1 solid head cabbage
  • 1 bunch green onions
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup salad oil

Instructions

  1. Chop the cabbage and green onions finely.
  2. Add sugar to the chopped vegetables.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine vinegar, celery seed, prepared mustard, salt, and salad oil.
  4. Pour the dressing over the chopped vegetables and toss well.
  5. Refrigerate for at least an hour before serving to allow flavors to meld.
