Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup confectioners sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/4 cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup finely chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Cream shortening until smooth.
  2. Gradually add confectioners sugar and cream thoroughly.
  3. Add sifted all-purpose flour, salt, vanilla extract, and finely chopped nuts; blend until well combined.
  4. Shape the dough into 1-inch balls.
  5. Bake in a 400°F (200°C) oven for 15 minutes.
  6. While still warm, roll the cookies in confectioners sugar.
