Ingredients

  • 1 small box yellow cake mix
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 2 c. milk
  • 3 oz. instant vanilla pudding mix
  • No. 2 can crushed pineapple

Instructions

  1. Prepare the yellow cake mix according to package directions and pour into a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  2. Bake and then allow the cake to cool completely.
  3. Beat the cream cheese until fluffy in a mixing bowl.
  4. Gradually add the milk, creaming well until smooth.
  5. Add the vanilla pudding mix and blend well.
  6. Beat until the mixture thickens.
  7. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled cake.
  8. Drain the crushed pineapple and spread it over the pudding layer.
  9. Spread dessert topping over the pineapple layer.
  10. Garnish with nuts and red cherries if desired.
