Ingredients

  • 2 c. vinegar
  • 6 c. water
  • 10 whole saccharin tablets
  • cucumbers
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Bring the vinegar, water, and saccharin to a rolling boil.
  2. Drop in medium cucumbers a few at a time.
  3. Stir around in the solution until the color begins to change; don't leave in the vinegar solution too long or they may get soft.
  4. Pack the cucumbers in jars.
  5. Add 2 teaspoons of salt per quart of jars.
  6. Cover the cucumbers well with the vinegar solution.
  7. Seal the jars.
