Ingredients

  • 2 pkg. apple flavored gelatin
  • 4 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 2 (7 oz.) cans lemon-lime carbonated beverage
  • 2 unpared tart red apples
  • 1 cup halved seedless green grapes

Instructions

  1. Dissolve the apple flavored gelatin and a dash of salt in 2 cups hot water; cool to room temperature and add lemon juice.
  2. Carefully pour the chilled lemon-lime carbonated beverage down the side of the bowl; stir gently with an up and down motion. Chill until partially set.
  3. Meanwhile, core the tart red apples and slice them very thinly.
  4. Add the sliced apples and seedless green grapes to the gelatin mixture, stirring gently with an up and down motion.
  5. Pour the mixture into a 2-quart ring mold.
  6. Chill until the gelatin is firm.
  7. Unmold the salad before serving.
