Ingredients

  • 1 loaf frozen bread dough, thawed
  • 0.5 lb Genoa salami
  • 10 oz mozzarella, sliced
  • 8 oz sharp cheese, shredded
  • 1 egg white

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Roll out the thawed bread dough on a floured surface.
  3. If the dough is difficult to roll, sprinkle water on the surface to help it stick.
  4. Layer slices of Genoa salami and mozzarella over the dough.
  5. Roll the dough like a jelly roll, starting at the long end.
  6. Seal the ends with water to prevent filling from escaping.
  7. Place the rolled dough on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  8. Bake for 15 minutes.
  9. Remove from oven and baste with the beaten egg white mixture.
  10. Bake for an additional 10 minutes or until golden brown.
