Sally's Seven Minute Icing is a light, glossy frosting perfect for decorating cakes and cookies, offering a sweet vanilla flavor with a smooth, airy texture that melts in your mouth.

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 3 teaspoons corn syrup
  • 1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar

Instructions

  1. Mix eggs, sugar, corn syrup, and cream of tartar in a double boiler and place over boiling water.
  2. Stir for 6 minutes, approximately 150 strokes.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Beat with a rotary beater until the icing will hold its shape.
  5. Fold in 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla.
