Salmon Log(Cocktail Spread)

A creamy, flavorful salmon spread with fresh herbs, lemon, and a hint of horseradish, perfect for elegant appetizers or casual gatherings with crackers or toast.

Ingredients

  • 1 (1 lb.) can salmon, drained and skin and bones removed
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 3 to 4 Tbsp. grated onion
  • 1 Tbsp. prepared horseradish
  • 1 tsp. liquid smoke
  • salt to taste
  • 3 Tbsp. chopped parsley or 2 Tbsp. chopped dill
  • 1/2 c. chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine drained salmon, softened cream cheese, lemon juice, grated onion, prepared horseradish, liquid smoke, salt, and chopped parsley or dill in a blender; mix well.
  2. Place the mixture in a bowl and chill for several hours.
  3. Shape the chilled mixture into a log shape.
  4. Sprinkle chopped parsley or dill and chopped walnuts over the log.
  5. Serve with assorted crackers and Melba toast.
