Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 can (14 1/2 oz.) salsa style chunky tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Mix ground beef, chopped onion, chili powder, and garlic salt in a bowl.
  2. Shape the mixture into 4 oblong patties.
  3. Spray a 12-inch nonstick skillet with nonstick cooking spray and heat over medium-high heat.
  4. Cook the patties in the skillet for 3 to 5 minutes, turning once, until browned; drain excess fat.
  5. Stir in the chunky salsa tomatoes (undrained) into the skillet.
  6. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally and turning the patties once, until the patties are no longer pink in the center and the juice runs clear.
