Ingredients

  • 1 lb. sugar (2 c.)
  • 1/2 lb. butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 lb. flour (4 c.)

Instructions

  1. Mix together butter and sugar.
  2. Add eggs, one at a time.
  3. Work in flour.
  4. Drop a teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet.
  5. Bake at 375° to 400° until cookie looks slightly darker around edge, approximately 10 minutes.
  6. Remove from sheet before they cool. Yields about 2 dozen.
