Ingredients

  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • 1 cup blanched almonds
  • 1/4 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons dry white wine
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a heavy skillet, melt the butter and margarine.
  2. Add the almonds and sauté until lightly browned, stirring occasionally.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic, lemon juice, and white wine.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Cook until the sauce bubbles, stirring with a wooden spoon.
  6. Serve the sauce over broiled or grilled fish or shellfish.
