Ingredients

  • 1/2 gal. vinegar
  • garlic
  • red pepper
  • black pepper (lots)
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1/4 c. mayonnaise

Instructions

  1. Bring vinegar, garlic, red pepper, and black pepper to a boil; reduce heat.
  2. Add butter and lemon juice; simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool.
  4. For white sauce, add mayonnaise at room temperature to 1 1/2 pints of the sauce and shake in a quart jar.
