Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (12 oz.) can tomatoes
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 pound pepperoni, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 pound mushrooms, sliced
  • 12 oz. mostaccioli
  • Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef; remove and reserve.
  2. In the same skillet, cook the chopped onion and minced garlic until crisp-tender.
  3. Add the canned tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, and salt; stir well.
  4. Return the cooked ground beef to the skillet, then add sliced pepperoni and sliced mushrooms.
  5. Simmer the mixture, covered, for 1 hour.
  6. Cook the mostaccioli according to package instructions and drain.
  7. Serve the sauce over cooked mostaccioli and top with Parmesan cheese.
