- Place the ribs in a heavy kettle.

- Pour enough water into the kettle to cover the ribs by three-quarters.

- Toast the sesame seeds in a dry skillet until golden brown, then add to the ribs.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then lower the heat to simmer.
