Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. round steak
  • 1 envelope gravy mix
  • 1 Tbsp. instant onions
  • 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. ground ginger

Instructions

  1. Cut the round steak into 1-inch squares.
  2. Brown the meat in a skillet until cooked through.
  3. Remove the cooked meat from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Add the gravy mix and 2 cups of water to the skillet and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  5. Stir in the instant onions, brown sugar, wine vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, ground ginger, salt, and pepper.
  6. Pour the mixture into a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
  7. Add the cooked meat to the casserole.
  8. Cover and bake at 350°F for 1 1/2 hours.
  9. Remove the bay leaf before serving over hot noodles.
