Sausage Cheese Bites are savory, cheesy snacks with flavorful pork sausage, perfect for parties, appetizers, or quick bites that are crispy on the outside and tender inside.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. mild pork sausage
  • 4 cups buttermilk biscuit mix
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Crumble the sausage into a cold medium skillet and cook until browned, then drain.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the biscuit mix and shredded cheddar cheese.
  3. Add the cooked sausage to the bowl and mix until well blended.
  4. Stir in water until just mixed.
  5. Shape the mixture into balls about the size of a golf ball.
  6. Place the balls on a greased baking sheet.
  7. Bake at 375°F for about 17 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  8. Cooked bites may be frozen and reheated at 375°F for 6 to 8 minutes.
