Ingredients

  • 9 slices bread
  • 1/2 lb. sausage
  • 1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Trim, butter, and cube the bread; place in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
  2. Add cooked and drained sausage and grated cheddar cheese over the bread.
  3. In a blender, mix eggs, milk, and salt until well combined.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the sausage, cheese, and bread in the baking dish.
  5. Refrigerate for 3 hours or overnight to allow flavors to meld.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 35 to 40 minutes or until the casserole is set and golden brown.
