Ingredients

  • 1 lb. scallops
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 6 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. white pepper
  • few grains cayenne
  • flour
  • 1 tsp. paprika

Instructions

  1. Rub the bottom and sides of a shallow baking dish or pie pan with the garlic; add half the melted butter and swish around.
  2. Arrange the scallops in the dish, season with salt, white pepper, and a little cayenne pepper.
  3. Dust slightly with flour and paprika.
  4. Pour the remaining melted butter over the scallops.
  5. Cook under the boiler for 10 minutes or until golden.
