Ingredients

  • 1 pt. oysters
  • 2 c. cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 c. melted butter
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 3/4 c. cream
  • 1/4 c. oyster liquid
  • 1/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Drain oysters, saving liquid.
  2. Combine cracker crumbs, melted butter, salt, and pepper.
  3. Spread 1/3 of the butter and crumbs in a greased 2-quart casserole.
  4. Cover with 1/2 of the oysters.
  5. Using another 1/3 of the buttered crumbs, spread a second layer and add the remaining oysters.
  6. Finish with the last 1/3 of buttered crumbs on top.
  7. Combine the liquid ingredients and pour over the top.
  8. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes.
