A sweet, crunchy treat combining peanut butter, Rice Krispies, and a chocolate butterscotch topping, perfect for parties, snacking, or satisfying a quick dessert craving.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup Karo syrup (light)
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 6 ounces chocolate chips
  • 6 ounces butterscotch chips

Instructions

  1. Bring sugar and Karo syrup just to a boil.
  2. Remove from heat and add peanut butter; mix well.
  3. Add Rice Krispies cereal and stir until evenly coated.
  4. Butter a 9 x 13-inch pan and pour the mixture into it, pressing down evenly.
  5. In a separate bowl, melt chocolate chips and butterscotch chips together until smooth.
  6. Pour the melted chocolate and butterscotch mixture over the cereal layer.
  7. Allow to set at room temperature until firm, then cut into squares.
