Ingredients

  • Jell-O
  • custard powder
  • chocolate chips
  • chocolate flakes
  • cake
  • heavy whipping cream
  • sherry

Instructions

  1. Break sponge cake into a large bowl.
  2. Soak the cake in sherry if desired.
  3. Layer the cake with tins of fruit and prepared Jell-O. Cover and refrigerate until set.
  4. Prepare the custard according to the package instructions and let it cool.
  5. Pour the cooled custard over the set fruit and Jell-O layer.
  6. Refrigerate until the custard is set.
  7. Whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  8. Pour the whipped cream over the set custard layer.
  9. Decorate with chocolate chips, flakes, or sprinkles.
  10. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
