Instructions
- Wash the chicken and pat dry if desired.
- In a bowl, sprinkle the chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Roll the chicken in self-rising flour until coated.
- Place the chicken in a 9 x 13-inch foil-lined baking pan that has been buttered.
- Put small pats of margarine on the chicken pieces.
- Bake in the oven for 15 minutes without foil on top.
- Mix the water and evaporated milk together and pour over the chicken.
- Cover the pan with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 30 minutes or until the chicken is done.
