Ingredients

  • 1 large can plum tomatoes
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 c. finely chopped celery
  • 1 onion, chopped fine
  • 1 potato, chopped small
  • 1 bay leaf
  • a fat pinch of oregano
  • 1 mashed garlic clove
  • 1 dash cayenne
  • 1 lb. shark fillets, cut in 1-inch pieces

Instructions

  1. Chop the tomatoes and simmer them in water until cooked, about 20 minutes.
  2. Add the chopped celery, onion, potato, bay leaf, oregano, garlic, and cayenne to the simmering tomatoes.
  3. Continue simmering the vegetable mixture for about 10 minutes until tender.
  4. Add the shark fillet pieces to the stew and cook for another 10 minutes until the fish is cooked through.
